Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program
The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program is an initiative designed to reduce the number of young people, ages 18-24, experiencing homelessness. The initiative is designed to support the community in the development and implementation of a coordinated community approach to preventing and ending youth homelessness.
The services provided are similar to that of the Adult Rapid Re-Housing program but financial assistance for housing can be offered for a longer period of time.

Youth Programs
Youth Programs has programming in all 11 counties of the Panhandle to help area youth in need. We offer innovative programming ranging from prevention to intervention and aftercare that is based in a trauma informed philosophy.

Panhandle Youth Shelter
The Panhandle Youth Shelter is a licensed, residential child caring facility that accepts temporary placement of youth who are on probation, youth who can no longer remain in their homes due to abuse and neglect, and runaway and homeless youth.
In addition to meeting youth’s basic needs, the Youth Shelter strives to teach youth staying at the shelter life skills that will aid them even after they exit our facility. All programming is provided in a Trauma Informed manner following the Positive Youth Development philosophy.

Making a Difference Program
The Making a Difference curriculum offers a series of engaging and interactive activities designed to boost participation and help young adolescents recognize and avoid the faulty reasoning and poor decision-making that can put them at risk for HIV, STDs, and pregnancy.
