food pantry on Jan. 18 in celebration of Martin Luther King (MLK) Day of Service

Those participating bagged beans in five pound bags at the CAPWN CSFP warehouse.  This MLK Day of Service project is funded in part by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency that strengthens communities though service.

The Foster Grandparent Program is open to those over fifty-five years of age who love children, can volunteer at least fifteen hours a week and have a limited income.  Foster Grandparents bridge the generational gap as they give their experience and talent to make a difference in the life of a child.   For information about Foster Grandparents, contact Cathy Schumacher, (308) 635-3089.
