CAPWN is teaming up with the Star-Herald and KNEB on a new fundraiser to help pack the pantry. The fundraiser is called Heart For The Heartland and will run from Feb. 5th through Feb. 15th.
Drop boxes have been placed at Plaza Foods (401 S. Beltline), Safeway (601 Broadway), Family Thrift (2817 Avenue), KNEB, the Star-Herald, and at CAPWN.
CAPWN has seen a 21% increase in the number of people using the agency's food pantry last year and the number in the first month of this year points to another increase, according to CAPWN Family and Community Development Director Roy Lawton.
You can help out. Monetary donations can also be made.
